These Terms & Conditions apply to the Al-Muezzin mobile application (the “Application”), developed and provided by DOĞAN YİĞİT ŞAHİN (the “Service Provider”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). The Application is provided as a freemium service and is intended to help users view prayer times, Qibla direction, prayer reminders, prayer tracking, Quran surahs, daily religious content, widgets, and related features.
By downloading, accessing, or using the Application, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the Application.
Al-Muezzin is not an official application of Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı or any other religious authority. Prayer times may be calculated using third-party calculation services and location-based methods. They may differ from local official announcements, mosque schedules, or other official sources.
You may use the Application for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and applicable laws. You agree not to misuse the Application, attempt to disrupt its services, reverse engineer it, extract its source code, modify it, create unauthorized derivative versions, or use it in a way that could harm the Application, the Service Provider, other users, or third-party services.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account. We strongly advise against using jailbroken, rooted, or otherwise compromised devices, as this may reduce security and may cause the Application not to work correctly.
The Application may provide prayer times, Qibla direction, Quran surahs, daily verses, daily hadiths, duas, Esmaül Hüsna / 99 Names of Allah, and related religious content. This content is provided for informational and devotional purposes only.
Prayer times are calculated based on your selected or detected location, timezone, country, and calculation settings. For Turkey, the Application may use calculation settings similar to Diyanet-based methods, but this does not mean that the Application provides official Diyanet data or is affiliated with Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı.
Religious texts, translations, hadiths, explanations, and related content may vary by source, interpretation, language, or school of thought. While we aim to provide accurate and useful content, users should consult qualified religious scholars, official religious authorities, or trusted local sources for authoritative religious guidance.
Location permission may also be used for optional features that depend on your consent and settings, such as location-based reminders or location-based advertising preferences. Location-based advertising is optional and is described in the Advertising, Tracking, and Paid Features section below.
Qibla direction is calculated using your location and device sensor data. Accuracy may be affected by location accuracy, compass calibration, magnetic interference, device hardware, nearby metal objects, and operating system limitations. You should calibrate your compass when needed and use reasonable judgment when relying on the Qibla feature.
The Application may provide optional prayer reminders, prayer check reminders, daily content notifications, widgets, live countdowns, and Live Activities where supported by the operating system. These features depend on your device settings, permissions, internet connectivity, background refresh behavior, battery settings, and operating system limitations.
We do not guarantee that notifications, widgets, or live countdown features will always be delivered, updated, or displayed at the exact expected time. You can manage notification and widget-related settings in the Application and through your device settings.
The Application may offer platform-specific features or guidance to help reduce interruptions during prayer times.
Some features may be available without registration through guest mode. In guest mode, certain settings and data may be stored locally on your device. Some features, such as profile synchronization, saved preferences, prayer tracking across devices, or account-based features, may require sign-in.
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You may request account deletion from within the Application where available, under Profile > Account > Delete Account. Deleting an account is intended to remove or anonymize account profile data and associated prayer tracking data, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or technical retention requirements.
The Application may display advertisements through Google AdMob or similar advertising services. Ads help support the free version of the Application. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your consent, device settings, region, and applicable law.
If you provide the required permissions and consent, the Application and its advertising partners may use approximate or precise location-related information for personalized advertising, ad relevance, analytics, and attribution. This may include use of location-related data by advertising partners such as Google AdMob. You may manage location permission, tracking permission, advertising consent, and location-based advertising preferences through your device settings and the controls provided in the Application where available.
You are not required to allow location-based advertising in order to use the Application. If you decline tracking, advertising consent, or location-based advertising, the Application may still show non-personalized ads or ads based on signals permitted by platform rules, and prayer time, Qibla, and manual location features should remain available according to your selected permissions and settings.
The Application may offer paid digital features, including a one-time purchase to remove ads permanently. The initial paid feature planned for the Application is Remove Ads / Reklamsız Kullanım, which removes ads from the Application after a successful purchase.
A one-time ad-free purchase is not a subscription and does not renew automatically. Users can restore eligible purchases through the Application where supported. Deleting the Application does not automatically refund a purchase. Refunds and billing matters are handled by Apple App Store, Google Play, or the relevant platform according to their policies.
If the Application offers subscriptions in the future, subscriptions will be processed and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Users will be able to manage or cancel subscriptions through their Apple or Google account settings. Deleting the Application will not automatically cancel an active subscription.
Purchase status, entitlement status, product identifiers, and transaction information may be processed by Apple, Google Play, and/or RevenueCat to verify purchases, restore purchases, and provide paid features such as ad-free usage. If ad-free usage is active, the Application should not load ads or use location for advertising purposes.
The Application may use third-party services that have their own terms and policies. Depending on the platform and enabled features, these may include:
We are not responsible for the terms, policies, availability, or performance of third-party services. Your use of those services may be subject to the applicable third-party terms.
Some features of the Application require an active internet connection. The Application may not function fully if you do not have internet access, if your network connection is unavailable, or if third-party services are temporarily unavailable.
You are responsible for any data charges, roaming charges, or other fees charged by your mobile network provider or internet service provider. If you are not the bill payer for the device you use, you represent that you have permission from the bill payer to use the Application.
The Application, including its design, features, source code, branding, trademarks, logos, and other intellectual property, is owned by the Service Provider or licensed to the Service Provider. Unauthorized copying, modification, distribution, reverse engineering, translation, or creation of derivative works is prohibited.
Third-party content, libraries, religious content sources, APIs, SDKs, trademarks, or services remain the property of their respective owners and may be subject to their own license terms.
The Application is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. We aim to provide a useful and reliable service, but we do not guarantee that the Application will always be accurate, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the Application or any feature at any time, with or without notice, subject to applicable law and platform rules.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service Provider will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of, inability to use, or reliance on the Application, including prayer times, Qibla direction, notifications, widgets, religious content, third-party services, or paid features.
Your use of the Application is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at: https://al-muezzin.com/PRIVACY.html. The Privacy Policy explains how information such as location data, advertising identifiers, consent signals, purchase information, diagnostics, and account information may be collected, used, shared, or controlled.
We may suspend or terminate access to the Application if you violate these Terms & Conditions, misuse the Application, interfere with its operation, or use it unlawfully. Upon termination, your rights to use the Application will end, and you must stop using it and, if necessary, delete it from your device.
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. When changes are made, we will update this page and revise the effective date if necessary. Your continued use of the Application after changes are posted means that you accept the updated Terms & Conditions.
