This Privacy Policy applies to the Al-Muezzin mobile application (the “Application”), developed and provided by DOĞAN YİĞİT ŞAHİN (the “Service Provider”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). The Application is provided as a freemium service and is intended to help users view prayer times, Qibla direction, prayer reminders, prayer tracking, widgets, and related features.
Al-Muezzin is not an official application of Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı or any other religious authority. Prayer times may be calculated using third-party calculation services and location-based methods. They may differ from local official announcements.
Depending on how you use the Application, we may collect or process the following categories of information:

Location is central to the Application’s prayer time and Qibla features. You can either allow location access or select a location manually. If you deny location permission, some features may be limited, but the Application should still allow manual location selection where available.
When prayer times are requested, your latitude, longitude, timezone, and country code may be sent to third-party prayer time calculation services, such as AlAdhan, to calculate prayer times. We do not send your name, email, profile photo, or prayer tracking history to AlAdhan for this purpose.
If you provide the required advertising and tracking consent, precise or approximate location information may also be used with advertising partners such as Google AdMob for personalized advertising, advertising analytics, and attribution. This advertising use is separate from the location use needed for prayer times and Qibla. If you do not provide consent for location-based advertising, the Application may still use location for prayer times and Qibla when you grant location permission, and ads may still be shown without using your precise location for personalized advertising.
Qibla direction depends on your location, device compass, device sensors, and calibration quality. Sensor errors, magnetic interference, or inaccurate location may affect the displayed direction.
Notifications are optional. You can enable or disable prayer reminders, prayer check reminders, and daily content notifications in the Application settings or through your device settings.
If you enable widgets or live countdown features, the Application may write a small prayer countdown data payload to platform shared storage so that the widget or live activity can show the next prayer name, target time, countdown, progress, and location label. Widgets and live activities are subject to operating system limitations and may not update continuously on all devices.
The Application may offer platform-specific features to help reduce interruptions during prayer times.
The Application may use third-party services that process data according to their own privacy policies. Depending on the platform and enabled features, these may include:
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers only as needed to operate, secure, analyze, advertise, or improve the Application, or as required by law. Where required, we use consent controls before sharing data for personalized advertising or tracking.
The Application may display ads through Google AdMob or similar advertising services. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your consent, platform settings, region, and applicable law.
If you provide the required consent, we and our advertising partners may use precise or approximate location data for personalized advertising, advertising analytics, and attribution. This may include sharing location-related data with advertising partners such as Google AdMob. You can manage location permission, tracking permission, and advertising personalization choices through your device settings and any consent controls shown in the Application.
If you do not grant tracking or advertising consent, we will not intentionally use your precise location for personalized advertising. The Application may still show non-personalized ads or ads based on less specific signals permitted by platform rules and your consent choices.
On iOS, if tracking is used for personalized advertising or cross-app tracking, the Application will request permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework where required. You may manage tracking and ad personalization choices through your device settings and any consent controls shown in the Application.
If you purchase ad-free usage, we use your purchase and entitlement status to remove ads from the Application. Purchase processing is handled by Apple App Store, Google Play, and/or RevenueCat. We do not receive your full payment card details.
The Application does not currently use artificial intelligence technologies to process your personal data or to generate prayer times. If AI-powered features are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain what data is used and how it is processed.
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Application, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms. Guest data stored locally on your device may be removed by clearing app data or uninstalling the Application.
Registered users can request account deletion from within the Application, where available, under Profile > Account > Delete Account. Deleting your account is intended to remove or anonymize account profile data and associated prayer tracking data, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or technical retention requirements.

The Application is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information processed through the Application. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The services used by the Application may process information on servers located in different countries. By using the Application, you understand that your information may be processed outside your country of residence, subject to applicable laws and safeguards.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update this page and revise the effective date if necessary. Your continued use of the Application after changes are posted means that you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
